Markets Bet a Triple Play in Near Future
Recent market updates show huge profits in October. However, uncertainty held stocks tight last weak. And most of the uncertainties are about to fade right away.
November brings three events in the first week that would probably jolt markets upwards. Firstly, it is the Fed meeting, secondly, is the mid-term elections and the last one is the release of October month’s jobs report by the government.
Doug Roberts who is the chief investment strategist for Channel Capital Research said that they have a triple play approaching soon. He also told the agents that these three events are expected to outshine everything else in the competitive market.
On the other hand, the S&P 500 as well as Dow Jones recorded October as their best month after so many years as major indexes blossomed in the month’s last week with investors support amid economic-reports.
According to David Sandell, a portfolio-manager at Leeb Capital, they have seen all that they wanted to see of the economic data and hence, there are no surprises at the moment. It is still the weakest recovery they had ever seen over the years. Thus, it also gets obvious that they need help and whether it is rendered by the Federal Reserve or Washington, everything turns little skeptical but there are more chances of getting the help from the two.
Roberts said that there at Wall Street people are expecting Republicans could take over the House, but the question is whether they would take over the Senate. But either way, the results would help in removing the clouds of uncertainty.
In the forthcoming meeting, the Fed is likely to launch one more round of monetary stimulus to lift the suffering economy.
For instance, just the expectation of the move which is referred to as quantitative easing has pushed the S&P 500 index up 11 per cent as the Fed’s intentions were announced in August. Now the question is how massive will be the impact of the announcement in real.
And the third piece of the triple play is going to be the jobs report that is being closely monitored by the government.
