Obama Seeks Republicans Support to Pass the Jobs Bill

0

Obama, hoping to compete in the elections of 2012 on the expectations of becoming the U.S. President once again, his prospects are faded by high rate of unemployment and economic slowdown, has asked Republicans to support his jobs bill.

Obama stresses that bill is not going to enhance the growth of U.S. debt.   Instead jobs bill would be funded by eliminating certain tax breaks on oil sector, well to do families are profiting more than 250,000 USD per year and by covering them under limiting deductions, and remove other tax flaws.

Republicans are opposing this plan; some Democrats are also with them.  But Republican heads out of fear of being called as the opponents of reducing unemployment rate during economic slowdown, are saying some parts of the plan are considerable.

Obama has anxiously asked from Republicans in the Congress to explain him the weak and strong points of the jobs bill, and to clearly declare on what points they are opposing this bill.  Democrat leader Harry Reid has declared that he will put up the bill this year for consideration, but could not specify when he would do so amid conflicting environment, in Washington.

Obama produced jobs bill in Congress three weeks ago.  This bill’s highlights are to promote infrastructure sector, motivation on spending and tax respite for smaller business and workers.  Obama has said that, Republicans always stand in front of his plans and policies.  On the other side Republicans are blaming Obama’s laws and plans for rise in joblessness and economic slowdown in U.S.  According to them (Republicans) Obama has completely failed to create jobs, that are necessary to uplift the sluggish economy.

But according to Obama, this bill contains the proposals which Democrats and Republicans both have supported in the past.  Now Congress has to pass this proposal, so that I could sign it and make it a law under my administration.

Obama has proposed a package of 447 billion USD and said this amount would be covered by including other alternatives such as other tax increases or savings by cutting on spending.  He is hopeful of generating jobs across the country.  And says the boost in jobs through this bill would be very helpful for our economy in a period of national crisis.

Obama has already knocked the door of Supreme Court requesting it to clear and support health care bill.  It is a testing time to prove himself as an effective President.
